Barbara Utzinger (Akeyla, Cathuman) is a die-hard fan of the musical Cats, but much more than that she is an intense and gifted visual artist and sculptor. Her art has progressively become darker during her artistic development. In the brush strokes you see a life force, which I personally adore and also fear a little bit. I feel that many people today seem to splash a lot of gore on their art in order to make it "dark", but here we witness a will to exist bleeding out of every stroke and sculptural curve. And I know that behind this art stands a person, who matches her art. We will see her in the regular
art scene soon I believe.
